I decided to start this blog because it seems that in our modern era, with all our modern conveniences we actually have less time than before. Our maybe I just have a lot of pressures in my life.
However, I thought there would surely be other people with the same struggle. So, I will share my tips and tricks with you and I hope you will do the same.
My first tip, while incredibly obvious, is rather difficult to implement. Enjoy the time you do have. (I told you it was obvious.) After a hard day's work sometimes the last thing I want to do is chase after my little girl as she tries to share her day with me. I have to remind myself that this time is precious and will be gone so quickly. Even now I find it hard to believe that she is not still that little baby that I held in my arms in the hospital.
Because I am exhausted I try to pick quieter activities that we can engage in together: reading, coloring or playing with play-doh. It's a lot easier to smile at my little one when I can put my feet up.
If you have any tips for being in the moment with your children after a day's work, I'd love to hear them.
