Make Time for Playtime with Your Spouse

One of the things that can often happen when children enter the scene is that time with your spouse gets cut because the children need so much time. However, for your own sanity (along with a multitude of other reasons) you need to take time to be with your Honey.

As it can be terribly expensive raising children and I have yet to find a decent site with inexpensive dating ideas, I have decided to compile my own list. (If you have any of your own I'd love to hear them.)

One of the ways to maintain a budget while dating is to remember that when you were first dating you spent a lot of time acting like kids. With that in mind (and the approaching summer weather) the first idea I have for you is river rafting.

Although the sell rafts in the hundred dollar range you can find them for as little as $15 and if you buy individual rafts or inter tubes you can get them for about $3 each.

River rafting can be a lazy float down a calm river, sunbathing and discussing your hopes and dreams. Or you can splash and play much like your children would.

This can also be great fun with a group of friends. You can race other couples, splash other couples, or just float down the river together and discuss the joys and trials of life as a parent.

Also, once you've invested in your floatation devises you can continue your river trips with no additional costs. You might even consider bringing the kids along. :)
